An annual concert is held each year in the second week of March to recognize and celebrate the unique place Taras Shevchenko holds in Ukrainian cultural history and in world literature. His writings formed the foundation for modern Ukrainian literature. Shevchenko's poetry contributed significantly to the growth of Ukrainian national consciousness. His influence on various facets of Ukrainian intellectual, literary and national life is still felt to this day.
This is a group of people who like to sing! The choir provides a recreational non-denominational opportunity for adults to learn new folk songs as well as to retain many older favourites. You can have fun, meet new people and reduce the stress in your life by singing.
